The uniquely designed outer case helps protects the controls from damage, while rubber gaskets and plugs help keep moisture out of the unit, so you're radio is kept safe. The easy-to-read backlit LED screen is recessed to keep it from being damaged and displays radio and battery status, while incorporating the alarm clock, which comes with snooze and sleep functions.

The internal battery pack can be recharged over and over again by using it's own HANDCRANK Dynamo Generator or using the optional AC 5volt charger … so you'll never have to worry about dead batteries again!
Recharging the internal battery pack is simple and easy. Just turn the sturdy handcrank for about 90 seconds to provide up to 15 minutes of added playing time! This can be repeated over and over again as needed. General Overview: The Solarlink FR360 is a portable AM/FM/NOAA Weather Radio. It can be powered by four different sources; rechargeable Ni-MH battery (included) recharged by either the hand crank or by using it's built-in solar panel, an AC 5v adapter (optional), or by using three "AAA" batteries (not included). The unit also doubles as an emergency flashlight using its 4 LED lights. It also has a red flashing LED a light.
AM/FM Channels: The FR360 receives AM (520-1710 kHz) and FM (87.5-108 MHz) stations. The DIGITAL TUNER and back-lit display allows for precise tuning and optimal reception in most areas. Tuning knob and digital display offer smooth dialing to zero in on finicky radio signals.

Weather Band Channels: This radio allows you to select any of the seven NOAA weather broadcast channels that may be broadcast in your area. These broadcasts include 162.400MHz (Channel 1), 162.425MHz (Channel 2), 162.450MHz (Channel 3), 162.475MHz (Channel 4), 162.500MHz (Channel 5), 162.525MHz (Channel 6), and 162.550MHz (Channel 7).

NOAA Alert: This function turns off the radio, but continues to monitor the NOAA frequency when activated (best if used with optional ac adapter). If a NOAA alert is broadcast, it automatically turns the radio on, enabling you to hear the any special NOAA ALERT broadcast.

Solar Panel: Another unique feature is the solar panel that is built into the carry handle. Panel will provide enough power to fully recharge the internal battery pack in about 10 hours of direct sunlight.

Antenna: Like most radios, the AM antenna in built into the radio. The 6.5" telescoping swing arm antenna is used for FM radio reception.

Clock with Alarm: The unit features a built-in 12/24-hour clock with a built-in wake-up alarm.

Sleep Timer: The sleep timer can be activated with the ratio turn on or off. Activating the sleep timer enables the radio to play for 10, 30, 60 or 90 90 minutes then shuts off automatically.

Light: Never be caught in the dark again. The built-in LED light has two modes: 1) FOUR white LEDs serve as a flashlight, and 2) A single red LED flashes as an emergency beacon.

Headphone Jack: On the back of the radio is a 1/8" headphone jack to listen privately to your favorite stations.

AUX Audio-In Jack: The Solarlink features a rear-panel 1/8" audio-input for connecting an external audio component like your Blackberry, MP3 player or iPod so you can use the radio's external speaker to listen to your recorded music or audio books at home or work.

Cell Phone Charger: You can charge your cell phone using the handcrank. Phone charger output (USB type-A) is located on the back or the radio. Phone specific adapters are available directly from Etón or use your own cell phone connecting USB cable met to recharge your phone via your computer.

NOTE: This is not a quick process but
provides an emergency back-up. About 10 minutes of cranking provides enough recharged power to your phone to make 1 to 2 short calls. The USB charger also can breathe life back into MP3, Blackberry's or iPods when AC power is unavailable.
