New Orleans Style Rice w/Shrimp and Ham 
INGREDIENTS: Freeze Dried New Orleans Style Rice with Shrimp: Precooked Enriched Rice (enriched with niacin, iron [ferric orthophosphate], thiamine mononitrate, folic acid), Diced Tomatoes (diced tomatoes, tomato juice, salt, citric acid, calcium chloride), Shrimp (shrimp, salt) Green Bell Peppers, Onions, Celery, Black Beans (beans, salt), and Contains 2% or Less of: Seasoning (maltodexrin, dehydrated onion, dehydrated bell pepper, spices, dextrose, paprika, hydrolyzed corn protein, cayenne pepper, soy sauce [wheat, soybeans, salt], dehydrated garlic, yeast extract, salt, caramel color, soybean oil, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate, natural flavor, extractive of paprika) Corn oil, Modified Corn Starch, Spice Extract. Freeze Dried Ham: Ham Cured with Water, Salt, Dextrose, Sodium Tripolyphosphate, Sodium Erythorbate, Smoke Flavor, and Sodium Nitrite
CONTAINS: Shrimp, Soy, Wheat.

Directions: To prepare a single servings: 
1. Mix can contents.
2. Bring ¾ cup water to a boil..
3. Remove from heat.
4. Add 1  cup dry mix.
5. Stir until mixed thoroughly.
6. Cover. Let stand 8 to 10 minutes.
7. Stir and serve. 

To prepare entire can: 
Add 6 1/2 cups (52 oz) boiling water to contents of can. Follow steps 5 through 7 above.

NOTE: Oxygen removed by either nitrogen flushing or oxygen absorbers. Oxygen absorber not for human consumption. Discard packet immediately upon opening.

Storage and Handling


It is necessary to store Mountain House products properly to ensure maximum shelf life. Store the product in a cool area, avoid long-term storage above 72 degrees F, and be careful to not puncture the cans. Under these conditions, Mountain House meals will maintain its shelf life for product quality flavor and nutritional value.

Once open, contents should be used immediately. However, product resealed using plastic recloseable lid has been found to be acceptable up to one week after opening.

This package is sold by weight, not volume. Some settling may have occurred due to shipping, handling or variations in the product density.
