Ingredients:Precooked Enriched Long Grain Rice (enriched with niacin, iron [ferric orthophosphate], thiamine mononitrate, folic acid). Directions: To prepare a single servings: 1. Bring ½ cup water to a boil. 2. Add ½ cup rice. 3. Stir. Heat to a simmer. 4. Remove from heat. 5. Cover. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes. 6. Drain, season, and serve. To prepare entire can: Add 12 cups (96 oz) boiling water to contents of can. Follow steps 3 through 6 above. NOTE: Oxygen removed by either nitrogen flushing or oxygen absorbers. Oxygen absorber not for human consumption. Discard packet immediately upon opening.

Under these conditions, Mountain House meals will maintain its shelf life for product quality flavor and nutritional value. Once open, contents should be used immediately. However, product resealed using plastic recloseable lid has been found to be acceptable up to one week after opening. This package is sold by weight, not volume. Some settling may have occurred due to shipping, handling or variations in the product density.
