Directions: To prepare a single servings:
1. Bring ¾ cup water to a boil.
2. Add ½ cup dry beans.
3. Stir until mixed thoroughly (you may want to simmer briefly).
4. Remove from heat.
5. Cover. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
6. Drain, season, and serve.
To prepare entire can:
Add 12 cups (96 oz) boiling water to contents of can. Follow steps 3 through 6 above..
NOTE: Oxygen removed by either nitrogen flushing or oxygen absorbers. Oxygen absorber not for human consumption. Discard packet immediately upon opening.
It is necessary to store Mountain House products properly to ensure maximum shelf life. Store the product in a cool area, avoid long-term storage above 72 degrees F, and be careful to not puncture the cans. Once open, contents should be used immediately. However, product resealed using plastic recloseable lid has been found to be acceptable up to one week after opening.
