Ingredients: POTATOES, SOUR CREAM (CULTURED CREAM, NONFAT MILK), BUTTER POWDER (BUTTER (CREAM, SALT, ANNATTO EXTRACT), NONFAT DRY MILK, BUTTERMILK, SODIUM CITRATE, CITRIC ACID, TOCOPHEROL (USED AS AN ANTI-OXIDANT), BETA CAROTENE (USED AS A COLOR)), GARLIC, SALT, PARSLEY.
CONTAINS:MILK. Directions: To prepare 1 Cup Dry Mix: 1. Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard. 2. Thoroughly mix contents. 3. Add 1 1/4 cup (300mL) of boiling water to 1 cup of dry ingredients. 4. Stir well, fully submerging ingredients. 5. Cover and let sit for 13 minutes. 6. Stir and serve. To prepare entire can: 1. Remove oxygen absorber from contents and discard. 2. Thoroughly mix contents. 3. Add 16 1/4 cups (3.8L) of boiling water to dry ingredients. 4. Follow Steps 4 through 6 above. NOTE:Rehydration time doubles every 5,000 feet of elevation gain. Our directions are set for 5,000 feet. |
Storage and HandlingDO NOT OPEN UNTIL READY TO SERVE The following storage instructions will ensure the maximum shelf life of this Backpacker's Pantry Product. Once the can is open, contents should be consumed within seven days. In between consumption, reclose the can with the plastic lid provided. Store at room temperature (70 degrees F) or below. The lower the temperature of storage, the longer the shelf life will be. Temperatures of freezing or lower (than 32 degrees F) should be avoided as it may affect the integrity of the can. Cans should be stored OFF the floor, in a dry, well-ventilated area. This package is sold by weight, not volume. Some settling may occur. Be sure to mix the contents of the can thoroughly before preparing to ensure the best flavor. |
